The Judicial Police (PJ) searched on Tuesday the home of Portuguese-Brazilian twins in Cascais on suspicion of facilitating the hospital treatment of two children living in Brazil, who received Portuguese citizenship and received four million euros in 2020 for a drug for spinal muscular atrophy.
A week ago, when the PS conducted a dozen searches, they entered the house but found no one.
The family returned to Brazil more than a year ago and the house, you know what morning Posthas since been rented to another family.
This Wednesday, inspectors thoroughly combed the house but found none of the suspected items: documents or wheelchairs paid for by the Portuguese state.
TO CMWilson Bicalho, the family’s lawyer, confirmed the searches and assured that Daniela Martins is not under investigation for fraud.
“PJ told me the news was false.” Daniela will be heard in parliament on the 21st, and she intends to come to Portugal to give explanations to deputies.
The President of the Republic wants to know the initiatives of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the twins case in order to “consider” his position.
