A 17-year-old girl died this Thursday as a result of a head-on collision between the moped she was driving and a car in A dos Francos, Caldas da Rainha. The accident occurred on the EN361 highway, on a straight line near the exit from the town of A dos Francos towards the village of Landal, at 13:25, the circumstances of which are being investigated by the criminal investigation department of GNR traffic accidents.
Erica Adrian died immediately and the Obidos firefighters took the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the West in Torres Vedras for an autopsy.
INEM psychologists provided support to the victim’s family.
The car was driven by a 61-year-old man, who was assisted by firefighters from Caldas da Rainha. He did not have any injuries and refused transport to the hospital.
