Nuno Rebelo de Sousa, son of the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will testify on July 3 before the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) in the context of the case of the Portuguese-Brazilian twins, reports observer. The hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The son of the head of state will participate in the work of the commission via videoconference and will remain silent, lawyers say.
“If the Commission considers the hearing necessary and useful (…), then naturally we will confirm the availability of our constituent for this videoconference, and on the first date mentioned in the conversation,” says the note from Nuno Rebelo de Souza’s lawyers and that observer had access.
The hearing into the children treated with the drug Zolgensma, which costs two million euros per person, began last week with testimony from former Undersecretary of State for Health Antonio Lacerda Sales and Daniela Martins, the girls’ mother.
