IL’s request to be heard in Parliament by the President of the Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) for the review of the safety and railway works of Ferrovia 2020 and PNI 2030 was unanimously approved this Wednesday.
In the request voted on Wednesday by the members of the Economy, Public Works and Housing Committee, IL stressed that, due to the enormous responsibility it bears, “it is necessary to carry out periodic reviews of the implementation and achievements of the IP, especially in terms of the maintenance and investment of the national rail network.”
According to the party, in recent months there have been several cases that deserve clarification from IP President Miguel Cruz, such as “malfunctions and problems with security alarms”, problems with the preservation of the national railway network, “with cases succeeding each other”. track cuts, namely on the Northern Line and Western Line”, as well as “consecutive delays in Ferrovia 2020”.
