Goncalo Ramos’ underuse puts him on par with the third-string forwards of teams so far at the European Championship. The 25 minutes added to the striker’s time in the only game he played (starting against Georgia) is a far cry from the playing time of the usual starting alternatives in the Euro title contenders.
Mbappe (269 minutes), Morata (230), Havertz (301) and Kane (354) are undisputed starters in France, Spain, Germany and England, but Kolo Muani (51), Joselu (71), Fullkrug (99) and Toni (30) have been more regular options than Goncalo Ramos respectively. The Portuguese situation is no worse because there are those who have not played yet, such as Zirkzee (Netherlands), Okafor (Switzerland) or Yildirim (Turkey).
