Wendell, Pepe and Evanilson are due to join Porto’s pre-season work in Austria within a week.
The trio ended their participation in the Copa America after Brazil was eliminated by Uruguay on penalties (4-3) in the quarter-finals of the competition. They will now have a few days off with their families before being given orders by Vitor Bruno. The internship in Austria begins on the 15th, but the Brazilians are only expected to integrate during the internship.
Wendell’s situation is still uncertain. The left-back, who is entering the final year of his contract with Porto, has a market and could leave Dragao if a good offer for all parties comes along. Juventus have already shown interest in the Brazilian, who of Porto’s three players in the squad had the most minutes (170) at the Copa America, as Evanilson played just three minutes and Pepe did not even score on his debut.
Stephen Estaquio continues to play for Canada and his return is still in question.
