Mother of player who moved to Benfica and Porto accuses son of ordering sister’s murder

Paola Salcedo, a former presenter and model and the sister of soccer player Carlos Salcedo, was killed on June 29 in Huixiquilucan, Mexico, as she left a circus with her son.

Mexican police quickly arrested two people responsible for the death of the 29-year-old model, who admitted to using illegal drugs and that, due to the need to continue using them, they robbed Paola Salcedo, who eventually resisted, leading to the shots that led to her death.

Although the judge ordered preventive detention for Miguel Angel and Jose Ivan, the former presenter’s mother accused her son Carlos Salcedo and his wife of involvement in Paola’s death on social media.

“Justice for my daughter. The real reason Carlos Salcedo wants to leave the country is because he and his wife Andrea Navarro are the ones responsible for Paola’s murder,” Maria Isabella wrote on Instagram.

Carlos Salcedo, a 30-year-old defender named to the national team Benfica (2015) and FC Porto (2022), currently representing Mexico’s runner-up Cruz Azul.
