The 35-year-old worker was found dead near the greenhouse where he worked in the municipality of Esposende, Braga district, a GNR source said on Wednesday, adding that “there is no evidence of a crime.”
According to the GNR of Braga, the foreign national worker was found dead near a greenhouse late on Tuesday, stressing that after an investigation by the elements of the criminal investigation, it was concluded that “there is no evidence of a crime”, indicating that the man died a natural death”, so the investigation was not transferred to the Judicial Police (SP).
Despite this, the body was transported to the Viana do Castelo hospital, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause or causes of the worker’s death.
Volunteer firefighters from Fau, an ambulance and resuscitation vehicle (VMER) from Viana do Castelo and a life support ambulance (SIV) from Vila do Conde were at the scene.
