Jakub Jankto, a 27-year-old Czech international on loan from Getafe at Sparta Praha, came out this Monday via a video on social media, stating that “he doesn’t want to hide anymore.”
“Hello, my name is Jakub Jankto. Like everyone, I have my strengths and weaknesses. I have family, friends. I have a job that I have been doing for years, always seriously, professionally and passionately,” begins with the word Wednesday.
And he continues: “Like everyone else, I also want to live freely. Without fear, without prejudice, without violence. With love. I am homosexual and do not want to hide anymore, ”he suggested.
Getafe has already reacted to the publication, leaving two emoticons (two applauding hands and a heart) a message in support of Jancto.
It should be noted that Jankto played 45 matches for the Czech national team, in which he scored four goals and made 11 assists.
