On Saturday, a 20-year-old man punched a former US president in the ear, killing a man and wounding two people in the room before being shot dead by police.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has acknowledged that the assassination attempt on Trump was a “security failure.”
“We will conduct an independent review to understand how this happened and will make recommendations and conclusions to ensure that this does not happen again,” Mayorkas assured.
