The Cádiz CF player and former Real Sociedad player Joseba Zaldua suffered a severe right knee injury in the draw (0-0) against Real Betis, so say goodbye to the rest of the season.
“After a first examination by the medical staff, an emergency MRI has been performed in the last few hours, which yields the following results: torn anterior cruciate ligament, torn meniscus, sprained collateral ligament and contusion with bone edema”, explained the Cadiz team in a statement.
The full-back from San Sebastian was withdrawn in the 53rd minute, after being treated by the Cádiz doctors. In the next dates, Zaldua will have to undergo an arthroscopy, so he will be out for the next few months.
