This Sunday, Porto beat Qatar’s Al Arabi 4-0 in the first private game of the Dragons’ pre-season training camp in Oberwart, Austria.
The team led by Vitor Bruno took the lead after just four minutes, with a goal from Englishman Dani Namaso, and in the second half, Spaniards Toni Martinez, Nico Gonzalez and Fran Navarro scored in the 48th, 60th and 90th minutes, respectively, to seal the result.
It was the first game of the 2024/25 edition of FC Porto open to the public, after victories, all behind closed doors and with four goals scored, against Sanjoanense (4-0) from Liga 3, Desportivo de Chaves (4-0) from Liga II and Nacional (4-1) from the main division.
The Blue and Whites’ first official game of the season will be the Candido Oliveira Super Cup, which will take place on August 3 in Aveiro against Sporting, the national champions whom Porto beat in the final of the last Portuguese Cup.
