Croatian national team player Luka Modric has extended his contract with Real Madrid for another season, until June 30, 2025, the Spanish champion club announced on its official page this Wednesday.
“Real Madrid and Luka Modric have reached an agreement to extend the contract of our captain, who will remain linked to the club until June 30, 2025,” the Merengues said.
The 38-year-old midfielder, who recently featured at Euro 2024, a competition in which Croatia were eliminated in the group stage, is set to begin his 13th consecutive season with Spain.
Modric arrived at Real Madrid in the 2012/13 season after four seasons at Tottenham. The midfielder previously represented Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Zapresic, Zrinjski Mostar and Zadar as a junior.
With merengue, the Croatian national team player, who was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2018, won 26 titles: six Champions Leagues, five Club World Cups, four European Super Cups, four Spanish Championships, two King’s Cups and five Spanish Super Cups.
