Arsenal and Chelsea are expected to step up their pursuit of Victor Giokeres in the coming days.
According to the English press, London clubs are very interested in the Swedish striker from Sporting and promise to put forward offers close to the buyout clause (100 million euros).
Both the Gunners and the Blues are looking for a striker, and both see Gjokeres as the ideal attacking player. The Swede is still recovering from surgery on his left knee, but should return to training without restrictions in the coming days. However, those interested will not forget the Swede’s numbers last season at Alvalade: 43 goals and 14 assists in 50 games played.
The 25-year-old is also being monitored by Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros are looking for a replacement for Alvaro Morata (on the way to Milan), and Victor Giokeres is happy. However, the amount the Lions are asking for is a serious obstacle to the player’s move to a team that finished 4th in the last Spanish championship (qualifying for the Champions League).
