Nani has not yet retired from professional football, but has already guaranteed that he will continue to play this sport in the future. Together with Nobias European Studios, he bought 95% of SAD Sintrense in order to quickly bring the Portuguese championship club to the top league.
“I am very happy to be part of this project. I hope to be useful to the club. I want to be more than just an advisor,” the player said at the presentation of the partnership, guaranteeing that he will continue to play: “I have offers from Portugal and abroad, but for now I am going to enjoy my holidays.”
As for the project presented on Thursday at the Sintrense stadium, Nani says he was already open to business proposals and that he was tempted: “Sintrense is an opportunity to do something interesting. Being close to the area where I was born is very nice. It’s important, I hope it’s a successful project.”
The 37-year-old striker also admitted that Portugal could “do more” at the European Championship. “We have a bright future. We must continue to work and dream.”
Ricardo da Silva Oliveira, former candidate for the presidency of Sporting in 2022, will become the new president of SAD Sintrense.
“This is a very ambitious project, which involves taking this club to the 1st division. We will only stop when we are there. We will invest to get into the league as soon as possible. This year we have already made firm commitments. If we are successful, we will be in League 3, and we must immediately start building the bench and improving the lighting. This club will always play by the rules,” he stressed.
