This Sunday, Benfica deplored the alleged incidents that occurred during the women’s handball team’s trip to San Pedro do Sul, saying they would “take the necessary sporting and criminal action with the competent authorities”.

“In view of the unspeakable behavior of the field director of the Academia Handebol São Pedro do Sul, and the arrogance and inefficiency of the delegate to the game, Benfica will exercise due sporting and criminal due diligence before the competent authorities regarding these two elements. what happened cannot go unpunished!” Benfica said in a statement.

In addition to condemning the alleged “insults, physical intimidation and aggression against various elements” of the team, Benfica emphasizes that in women’s sports competitions “there must be organizations that increasingly hold the same opinion.”

Benfica, head of the national women’s handball championship, won the meeting with the Andebol Academy of San Pedro do Sul on Saturday with a score of 36:33.
