Aston Villa threaten to send off Felix da Luz

Benfica’s dream of bringing back Joao Felix this season has been complicated once again as Aston Villa prepare to make a major bid for the striker to Atletico Madrid.

According to the English and Spanish press, the 60 million euros that the English club received from the sale of Moussa Diaby to Al-Ittihad will allow them to make serious investments in the purchase of a new striker, and Joao Felix is a priority.

Birmingham manager Unai Emery has already said he wants to add quality to his side to counter their run to the Champions League group stage.

Benfica continue to wait for the return of the Portuguese star, who has never consistently demonstrated all his technical qualities since leaving Luz.

In addition to Aston Villa, Benfica and Besiktas, Barcelona are also in the running for the 24-year-old. The club where he played on loan last season intends to continue his career, but always through a new loan.

Atletico Madrid, the owner of the pass, clearly wants a sale and would not refuse a sum of around 65 million euros. Benfica would be ready to pay 30 million to buy about half of the Portuguese’s tickets.

Since arriving at Atletico Madrid (2019), Felix has already been loaned to Chelsea and, last season, to Barcelona.

NAPLES IS INTERESTED
David Neres wants to leave Benfica and move to Naples. At least that’s what Calcionapoli24 guarantees. According to the site, the reason for the striker’s departure is that he wants to play more regularly. According to the Italian press, Naples will make an offer of around 40 million euros.

CENTRAL ROSE GARDEN
“Di Maria told me that he is not going to return now because he believes that there are no guarantees of safety for him and his family,” Rosario Central president Gonzalo Belloso told Argentine radio station Radio 2 on Monday. The Argentine leader stressed that the striker’s decision to continue his career at Benfica was a disappointment: “It hurt us.”
