British police officer suspended after kicking and stomping suspect on head at Manchester Airport on Tuesday evening. The moment was recorded and posted on social media.
The video shows an agent with a stun gun in his hand kicking and stomping on the head of a man who is lying on the floor, with a woman kneeling next to him.
In accordance with Sky NewsManchester police were called to the scene of the attack at Terminal 2 before the footage was captured.
Three officers were injured and police said there was a “clear risk” that officers’ firearms would be stolen.
Manchester Police have already responded to the case and said they understand the “huge sense of concern that people are feeling” following the release of the images.
Around 200 protesters gathered outside Rochdale police station on Wednesday evening, with some shouting: “GMP(s)(abbreviation for local police) shame”.
