The preparatory game between Lourosa and Boavista was suspended due to scenes of fighting between fans of the two teams. Tempers flared after a hard tackle by a Lourosa player, which provoked a reaction from the players in the checkered flag, especially Salvador Agra, who was clearly out of control.
After a few minutes of suspension, the game continued and after a corner, the Boavista striker was surrounded by fans near the corner flag, which prompted some Boavista fans to invade the pitch, which later caused several visible attacks on the bench.
The refereeing team, led by international Sandra Bastos, immediately returned to the locker rooms.
The game ended in a draw, with Rodrigo Abascal opening the scoring with one goal (2′), but Miguel Pereira equalised (12′), and the game was abandoned with about 10 minutes left before the break.
