Three people were arrested and three were charged as part of a major PSP anti-drug trafficking operation carried out in the Mouraria district of Lisbon on Monday.
Dozens of officers from the Lisbon PSP and the special police unit were involved in the investigation. The operation was the result of an investigation into suspected drug trafficking and the capture of people with outstanding arrest warrants.
The PSP operation follows several complaints from mayors, residents and traders in central Lisbon. It is a climate of insecurity, which, however, according to the PSP, is a “perception”, since the number of complaints registered this year is lower than in 2023.
During the operation, 24.79 grams of hashish, 17.25 grams of marijuana and 1,500 euros in cash were seized.
