The National Police of Vigo (Spain) detained a 40-year-old Portuguese man on suspicion of raping a 24-year-old woman. After the crime, according to witnesses who contacted the local police, the alleged rapist fled behind the wheel of a luxury car.
It was the descriptions given by the victim and several witnesses to the Portuguese man’s escape that made the arrest easy. The crime took place on July 13 in the bathrooms of a shopping centre in Vigo. The 24-year-old woman told police that she thought she had drunk a drink with some kind of drug in it. After that, she only remembers being in the bathroom and seeing the man who raped her escape.
The detainee is currently awaiting an appearance before a judge.
