Everything we know about the 17-year-old who stabbed a Portuguese girl and two other children to death in the UK

The suspect in the knife attack in Southport, UK, which left three girls dead, one of whom was Portuguese, is 17 and is originally from Cardiff but lives in Banks, a village near the scene of the attack.

The young man was detained by authorities and the knife used in the attack was seized.

A BBC News published a post by a woman who claims to know the young man’s parents. The witness says they were from the African country of Rwanda, that they were a “couple in love” and lived like a normal family with their two children (the suspect and his younger brother).

There are also those who claim that the attacker is a refugee migrant who arrived in the UK by boat last year. On the other hand, there are those who claim that the suspect is on the MI5 or MI6 list (sections 5 and 6 respectively of the UK military intelligence) and that therefore he would have already been marked by the authorities. All this information can be read in the messages of internet users on social networks.

Another piece of information circulating online is the name Ali Al Shakati. This message, which literally translates as “I need to go to my apartment”, has not been confirmed by the authorities and would be false.

UK police have not confirmed any information about the attacker, as there are restrictions on releasing details of underage suspects.

Recall that a Portuguese girl and two other children were stabbed to death and several people were injured in an attack that took place this Monday in Southport, near Liverpool, England, during a dance lesson dedicated to the songs of the singer Taylor Swift.
