Joao Neves leaves for Paris on Friday

Friday is D-day for Joao Neves to sign for PSG in a deal that will guarantee Benfica a value of around €70 million.

The ACE newspaper has confirmed that the Eagles midfielder will travel to Paris on Friday to undergo routine medical tests before signing a contract until 2029.

Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specialising in the transfer market, also assured that the deal was closed.

The details of the sale should be known in the coming days, when Benfica sends the details of the deal to the CMVM. In addition to the 70 million (which could increase the value of the goals), Benfica could receive midfielder Renato Sanches. The midfielder wants to resume his career at the club where he trained, but Benfica remains somewhat dissatisfied with the player’s physical condition, as does the player himself. CM was released in its issue on Tuesday.

João Neves worked under Roger Schmidt but was not involved in Benfica’s final preparation game against Feyenoord (a 5-0 defeat).

In Spain, the signing of the 19-year-old Portuguese international is being celebrated. “Luis Enrique [treinador do PSG] “He already has his first major contract for the new season,” says “A.”

Neves played 75 matches for Benfica’s main squad.

Angel Di Maria Reveals Threats
Di Maria has revealed for the first time the reason he has not returned to Rosario Central after his wife decorated the house where they will live and sent their daughters to school. “My brother-in-law and sister received a box with a pig’s head and a bullet in the forehead, and a note saying that if I came back, the next head would be my daughter Pia’s,” said the Argentine, who will stay at Benfica for another year.

DETAILS
Full house
Benfica v Fulham will be a sell-out at the Algarve Stadium on Friday (20:00). The Algarve Trophy organisers have announced that the venue, which holds around 30,000 fans, is sold out.

cabral for 15 million euros
Benfica have already admitted that they sold Artur Cabral for 15 million euros. Given the lack of offers for the Brazilian striker, SAD has already lowered its demands. What is certain is that the Eagles’ intention is to sell the player (26 years old) and not to loan him out.

Otamendi
“I would like to play for River Plate because I am a fan and the people have always been good to me. But I think about my family, their safety, and it is difficult to return to Argentina,” Otamendi told La Red radio.
