In a statement, the organization announced the suspension of an athlete who competed in the 3,000 hurdles at the Beijing 2008 (34th) and London 2012 (11th) Olympic Games after being accused of steroids in anti-doping controls.
The suspension of Clarissa Cruz, a GRECAS athlete who was the national record holder in the 3000m hurdles, took effect on 15 October 2021 and ends on 14 October 2025.
The FPA also released a disciplinary decision against distance runner Nuno Costa, which included a four-year ban starting August 12, 2022 and ending August 11, 2026, for cocaine use.
