Joao Felix calls on fans to shut up and gesture could cost Atletico Madrid their exit

João Félix’s gesture to Atl fans to shut up. Madrid’s 3-1 win over Getafe may have marked the end of the Portuguese international’s run at the Colchoneros, giving Benfica hope of signing him this summer.

After the Portuguese forward showed up for training in Madrid, coach Simeone tried to give him a chance to reconcile. Felix was verbally abused by fans during the warm-up, and when he scored, he made a gesture to silence the fans who criticized him and called him a “son of a bitch…”. A situation that further increased the anger of the Colchoneros supporters and makes it difficult for them to continue in Madrid.

Despite his days at Atletico being clearly numbered, João Félix will join the team’s training camp in Hong Kong. It’s a way for the Portuguese to prove himself and try to raise his price, which would allow the Spanish side to amortise the €65 million shortfall in the €126 million they paid Benfica in 2019. Among the suitors are the Eagles. President Rui Costa has made no secret of his desire to bring back another “boy” in Luso, after guaranteeing the return of Renato Sanches in the deal for João Neves. The Eagles have already formalised an offer of €30 million for 50% of Félix’s transfer, guaranteeing the payment of his salary, which is three million euros net per year.

Joao Neves returns to Paris today where he is expected to formalise his contract with PSG, with the French club paying Benfica €60 million plus €10 million in goals. The player will receive an annual salary of around €7 million net per year and will be linked to the club for the next five seasons.

Naples wants Neres
Napoli are pushing for the signing of David Neres, willing to pay between 20 and 25 million euros for the player who wants to leave because Di Maria will stay at Luz.
