Moderate, communicative and capable of giving the Democratic left a wink. Here is Tim Walz, the man whom Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris introduced as his running mate on Tuesday. “I am proud to say that I have asked [governador do Minnesota] “Tim Walz will be my running buddy,” Kamala Harris said on social media X, formerly Twitter. “As a governor, coach, teacher, and veteran, he works hard to serve families like his. It’s great to have him on our team. Now let’s get to work,” Kamala Harris said. Tim Walz, in turn, considered it “the honor of a lifetime to join Kamala Harris’ campaign.” This choice finally eliminates speculation that, among other things, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro was the best fit for the role of Kamala’s right-hand woman.
Although Tim Walz is considered a reserved politician, he has made his mark by attacking Trump’s Republican candidacy, which he says is backed by a group of “strange” people. “We’re not afraid of weird guys,” Walz joked at a Democratic rally.
Donald Trump’s candidacy was quick to respond: “He is a left-wing radical hell-bent on spreading California’s leftist agenda,” from “proposing strict emissions standards for gas-powered vehicles” to “adopting policies that allow convicted felons to vote.”
