Portuguese canoeist Teresa Portela qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s 500m K1 at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Wednesday after finishing fourth in the second quarter-final round.
In her fifth Games, Teresa Portela completed the test in 1:52:40 minutes in the quarter-finals, which sees the top five from each of the four series advance to the semi-finals.
The K1 500m semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 local time (9:30 Lisbon time), with the main final scheduled for 13:00 (12:00).
In the K1 500, the 36-year-old Portuguese was 14th in Beijing 2008, 11th in London 2012 and Rio 2016 and seventh in Tokyo 2020, also finishing sixth in the K4 500 in 2012, eighth in the K1 200 in 2012 and 10th in 2020.
