Andre Villas-Boas, the president of FC Porto, has rejected two offers from England for Brazilian striker Evanilson. According to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist and specialist in the market, the offers came from Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest.
The values presented in these first approaches were considered low given that he is a Brazilian international. The Dragons believe that the offers can be improved as the market closes.
The striker, who has not played yet this season because he was playing for Brazil in the Copa America, has a contract until 2027 and a release clause of 100 million euros.
Porto are in financial crisis and need to sell the club to strengthen the squad. Goalkeeper Diogo Costa and striker Francisco Conceição are two players for whom there is a market, but no satisfactory offers have been received. Villas-Boas is asking for a buyout of €75 million for the goalkeeper and at least €30 million for the striker.
