The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has given Boavista president Vitor Murta a six-month ban for “discriminatory behaviour,” the federal disciplinary body announced on Monday.
Vítor Murta, who currently only leads the chequered club, was sentenced to six months of punishment and 2,448 euros after a disciplinary process that began on October 3, 2023, when he was still in charge of SAD Boavista.
The violations in question are Article 137 of the Disciplinary Regulations of the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP), which punishes “directors who commit conduct that is degrading to human dignity based on race, colour, language, religion, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation.”
