US authorities have made at least one arrest and several searches as they investigate the death of Matthew Perry, the actor who gave birth to Chandler Bing in the sitcom Friends.
According to TMZComputers, phones and other electronic equipment have been seized to determine who supplied Matthew Perry with the ketamine that caused him to pass out and drown in a hot tub in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
The actor had been undergoing therapy for anxiety and depression and had been receiving ketamine treatment. However, the last therapy was a week and a half before his death, so the doctor did not prescribe ketamine in his system.
The ketamine Perry took was not legally prescribed, police sources say, and at least one doctor and several drug dealers who helped arrange and deliver the ketamine are under investigation.
Messages were found that mentioned the actor and the delivery of ketamine. They also mentioned the price the Friends actor would pay for the drug.
Matthew Perry was found dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on October 28, where he had drowned “in a heated section of the pool.” He was 54.
Death Matthew Perry’s death was ruled an accident due to acute ketamine exposure, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. High levels of ketamine in Matthew Perry’s blood can have deadly consequences, such as overstimulation of the cardiovascular system and respiratory depression. The actor was treated for depression and anxiety, the report said.
