This Saturday, Benfica made up for their poor start to the championship and, having shown an advantage in the second half, won 3-0 against Casa Pia in the second round of the First Football League.
After a goalless half-time, the Reds, who had lost 2-0 in the first leg in Famalicao, started stronger in the second half and saw their efforts pay off in the 70th minute with a goal from Greek Pavlidis, who made his debut and scored officially for Benfica, followed by goals from Thiago Gouveia (80) and Orsnes (90) against a Casa Pia side that continues to fail to score in the league.
Thanks to this triumph, Benfica now rises to fifth place with three points, while the Kasapians are at the bottom of the table, in last place, without points.
