On Tuesday, the main route 3 (IP3) reopened in the direction of Viseu-Coimbra after a collision between two vehicles, a light and a heavy one, said a source from the Viseu-Dau-Laphonse sub-regional civil protection command.
Traffic in the Coimbra-Viseu direction remains restricted and there are no forecasts for its reopening.
The road was completely closed after a collision between two vehicles (a car and a truck) in the Coimbra-Viseu direction on the Carvalhal straight in Tondela, which left two people slightly injured.
Traffic is still diverted via Estrada Nacional 2 (EN2) to Viseu.
According to the same source, the alarm was received at 11:20 and 18 operatives are on the scene, supported by eight vehicles from the Tondela Voluntary Fire Service, the GNR and the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM).
