Spanish authorities continue to search for the weapon used to kill an 11-year-old boy on Sunday in Mocejón, Toledo.
The Civil Guard carried out an air and ground investigation, which led to the arrest of a young suspect on Monday afternoon. The perpetrator of the crime is a 20-year-old man. identified as Juan Francisco. The young man admitted that he experienced the attack “as if he was in a video game,” saying he felt like “someone else” was controlling his body at the time.
The Civil Guard said in a statement that authorities had carried out two searches of the homes of relatives of the suspect. The investigation is now focused on finding the weapon used in the deadly attack, with the assistance of neighbours. The searches were carried out in the area of the shooting and in waterways.
According to local media, the suspect intended to attack another man he had been stalking the day after the murder.
