A homeless man wanted for the murder of Manuel Luz in Carnide, Lisbon, was arrested by the Judicial Police this Wednesday. The warning was issued by residents who saw the suspect in Alto dos Moinhos in Lisbon and alerted the authorities.
A man in his 40s is suspected of stabbing 68-year-old Manuel Luz to death on August 11.
Authorities conducted searches after a homeless man attacked a victim and fled.
The investigation indicates that the victim and the killer met near Azinhaga das Freiras, where they quarreled. The killer transported the body in a wheelbarrow and left it about 500 meters from the original location. A bloody trail along this route helped find the victim.
