The President of the Republic clarified that until this Thursday he had not received “any letter from the government concerning the subsidies that will be provided to the security forces.”
In a note published on the official website, the presidency guarantees that “as soon as he assumes office as President of the Republic, the diploma will be made public in accordance with the statements already made by the President of the Republic.”
This statement came a few hours after the Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaru, said in a “briefing” following the meeting of the Council of Ministers this Thursday that the government was only waiting for the order of the President of the Republic on the payment of the risk supplement for the security forces, with the regulation of the supplement having been approved this Thursday by the Council of Ministers.
“We will be ready to make the payment during the processing between salaries. There is an order from the President of the Republic, and we are ready to carry out this processing in a short time,” said the Minister of the Presidency.
An agreement between the Ministry of the Interior (MAI) and five PSP unions and GNR associations to gradually increase the supplement by 300 euros was reached on 9 July.
In addition to the increase of 300 euros, an increase in the fixed option of the fixed allowance from the current 100 to 400 euros, the signed agreement also provides for a review of the professional status, changes in the remuneration table in 2025 and in the Regulation on the assessment of the review of remuneration tables and through green in health.
