New Zealand’s Lydia Ko wins the British Open as Carlota Ciganda finishes 37th

The Navarrese Carlota Ciganda has finished his participation in the British Open, last ‘major’ of the season, in 37th place after closing the last day with a score of +2 strokes and the general with a +4.

As far as the top spots are concerned, The victory went to Lydia Ko, 27 years old and of South Korean origin, finished the tournament with a total of 281 strokes (7 under par), two less than the player defending the title, the American Lilia Vu; the world number one, also American Nelly Korda, the Chinese Ruoning Yin and the South Korean Jiyai Shin, who shared second place.

Carlota has been far from the top since day onewhere he finished the day with a +3. He closed the second day with a score of +1 (+4 in total) and the third had a hint of a comeback, completing the course in 70 strokes (-2 in the partial and +2 in the general).
