23 traineras are looking for a ticket for the Bandera de La Concha on Wednesday

A total of 23 traineras will participate in the qualifying regatta of the Flag of San Sebastian which will be played this Wednesday August 28thin Donostia.

The qualifying regatta, as well as the two days of the Flag, can be followed live on ETB1 and eitb.eusThe qualifying round will start at 18:00 in the time trial mode, and from there the seven boats that will qualify will start. A 3-mile course will be the route of this preliminary round, with only one tack.

The times from this qualifier are not valid for the real competition, which will add the times from the two days to determine the successor of Urdaibai, the current champion.

As for the two days that make up the La Concha regatta itself, these will be on September 1 and 8. The boats qualified to row in the women’s category will do so from 11:00 on both days, while the men’s rowing boats will compete an hour later, at 12:00.

NOTE: Donostiarra, the local trainera, is already classified by statutes and will complete the eight boats that will compete for the flag, both in the women’s and men’s categories.
