The General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Interior building on Rua de São Mamede in Lisbon was robbed this Thursday morning, and the Public Security Police is investigating, a PSP source told Lusa.
According to PSP, a robbery alert was issued at 9:52 a.m. Thursday by a police officer on duty at the building after he noticed a disturbance in the offices.
Another police source told Lusa that various computer equipment had been stolen from the offices.
The investigation is being handled by the Public Security Police, which has not officially released details about the robbery.
Lusa contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but has not yet received any response.
The robbery was reported by the Observer, which reports that several computers were stolen, two of which belonged to the heads of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and that the surveillance cameras were not working.
