A firefighter adopts a cat he rescued from the rubble of an earthquake in Turkey

Ali Chakas, a Turkish firefighter, adopted a cat he rescued from the rubble of the earthquake that rocked parts of Turkey and Syria on February 6. According to British newspaper daily mailAli Kakas rescued a cat that had spent 129 hours in a trap. Nurdagi in Turkey.

The animal refused to leave the firefighter after giving him food and water. Ali and his colleagues named him Enkaz (which translates as rubble) and left the cat in the hope that the owner might show up, but no one took the animal.

The fireman promised that he would not leave Enkaz when the rescue operation was completed, and took him with him to Mardin, a Turkish city about 400 kilometers from Nurdaga.

More than 45,000 people have already died in the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria on February 6.
