Portugal’s Cristina Gonçalves, an individual gold medalist, returns to the Paralympic Games on Tuesday to compete in the BC1/BC2 team boccia event, on a day when swimmer Marco Meneses competes in his fourth event in Paris 2024.
At the Arena Paris Sul, Cristina Goncalves, who became the Paralympic individual BC2 champion on Sunday, will compete in the team event on Tuesday alongside Andre Ramos and David Araujo against teams from China and Great Britain in Group C.
Marco Meneses returns to the pool at La Defense Arena in Paris to swim the 200m freestyle final after finishing fifth in the 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle finals and ninth in the 50m freestyle qualification.
Portugal arrives in Paris with a delegation of 27 athletes competing in a record 10 sports, adding three medals over five days of competition.
