Portugal’s transfer market is already closed, but players can still be sold… It’s clear why

Portugal’s transfer market closed at 23:59 on Monday, but the team’s players can still travel to other championships.

In Turkey, for example, players are allowed to register until September 13, which will allow Portuguese Joao Mario to become an official at Besiktas, arriving from Benfica, in addition to the closing of the transfer window in Portugal.

But it is not only in Turkey that the market closes later. In Croatia and Austria they close on September 5, in Belgium and Ukraine on September 6, in the Czech Republic on September 8, in Poland, Romania, Switzerland and Qatar they close on September 9, in Greece on September 11, in Russia on September 12 and finally in Serbia, where the deadline for recruiting reinforcements ends on September 13, according to Transfermarkt.

Take a look back at some of the Big Three’s arrivals and departures in Portugal during the closed season this summer:

Porto hired Samu Omorodion, Neuen Perez, Denis Goul, Fabio Vieira, Francisco Moura and Thiago Djalo, while Taremi, Francisco Conceicao, Evanilson, Pepe, Toni Martinez, Romario Baro, Fabio Cardoso and Jorge Sanchez left for various reasons.

Benfica have reinforcements Pavlidis, Leandro Barreiro, Kabore, Amdouni, Renato Sanches, Beste and AkturkogluThe Eagles have left João Neves, Marcos Leonardo, Rafa, Paulo Bernardo, David Neres, Morato, Tengsted, Kokubo, Tiago Dantas and Henrique Araujo.

Sporting have seen the departure of some very experienced players. Captain Coates, Adan, Luis Neto and Paulinho, as well as Jovane Cabral, Mateus Fernandes, Essugo, Sotiris and Rodrigo Ribeiro. Alvalade has seen the arrival of Harder, Debast, Maxi Araujo and goalkeeper Kovacevic.
