The Barcelona court rejected the appeal of Dani Alves and will leave the footballer in custody on suspicion of sexual abuse of a 23-year-old girl.
According to the newspaper Worldthe court finds that there are “numerous indications of guilt on the part of the player” and that there is a “risk of absconding”.
Prosecutor’s Office, referring to Worldemphasizes that the player’s “high economic opportunities” would allow him to “leave Spain at any time” and excludes “that alternative measures to preventive detention proposed by the defense are sufficient to neutralize the risk of flight” as high.
Dani Alves is suspected of raping a 23-year-old girl on the night of December 30-31 in a Barcelona club.
