Labaka and Merino, handball world champions in pairs; Retegi BI, runner-up in the individual

Eneko Labaka and David Merino were proclaimed world champions of handball in pairs this Saturday October 29 after win the final against the Mexicans Israel González and Kevin Hernández.

The couple formed by the Navarrese and the Riojan won the final in two sets (2-0): in the first Labaka and Merino prevailed by 10-3 and won the second by 10-4.

Retegi BI, runner-up in the individual

Julen Retegi lost the individual final against the Mexican David Álvarez in two sets (2-0). Álvarez won the first set with a result of 10-8and the Mexican also prevailed in the second with a score of 10-5.

Therefore, David Álvarez was proclaimed world championY Julen Retegi had to settle for the runner-up.
