BE coordinator Katarina Martins underlined this Monday the preparation, competence, generosity and dedication of Mariana Mortagua on the day when the blockade deputy announced that she was a candidate for the leadership of the party.
“No one doubts the preparation, performance and competence of Mariana. I know that now she will prove to the country what I already know very well: generosity and selflessness in each of the battles for a more just country. Strength, Mariana Mortagua,” wrote Katarina Martins. on her official Twitter account, the text is illustrated with an image of two bloggers.
The message of support came shortly after the end of a press conference in which Mariana Mortagua announced that she was the BE leader candidate at the party’s National Convention scheduled for late May.
The announcement came two weeks after still BE coordinator Katarina Martins announced that she would leave the party leadership at the National Convention on 27 and 28 May in Lisbon.
Mariana Mortagua, who has been in Parliament since 2013 (replacing Ana Drago), was born in Alvito and is 36 years old.
