Benfica SAD posted a negative net result of €13.3 million in the first half of 2022/23, as shown in the report sent to CMVM. This value, the Eagles noted, represents an improvement of almost 58 percent over the same period of the previous season.
These bills do not yet include winter deals (the sale of Enzo and the purchase of Schjelderup and Tengtedt) and the €9.6m guaranteed to qualify for the Champions League round of 16.
Operating income (i.e. revenue excluding player sales) reached €111.6m, up over €15m from the previous year. A strong performance in the Champions League, which has already brought in 52.9 million euros, as well as box office receipts of 16.7 million euros, contributed a lot to this.
Liabilities decreased by 25.8 million euros to 398.9 million euros, assets also decreased from 533.7 million euros to 494.6 million euros. The net worth is now €95.7m, down 12.2% from June 30, 2022.
