During 2022, more than 320 people were banned from sports venues due to inappropriate behavior, the Office for the Prevention and Control of Violence in Sports (APCVD) said on Tuesday.
According to the APCVD Sanctions Activity Report 2022, “391 measures were taken to ban access to sports facilities, with 323 measures effective in 2022.”
The vast majority of bans, 299, were motivated by the possession/use of fireworks, the remainder were for acts or incitement to violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance (14), throwing objects (nine) and committing acts or inciting violence. , racism, xenophobia and intolerance on the part of a sports agent (one).
The number of bans that came into effect in 2022 far exceeds the 187 measures taken in 2021, when competitions were still held behind closed doors for some time due to the covid-19 pandemic.
In total, for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2022, the ASIA initiated 1,364 cases of administrative offenses and completed 1,327 cases, including cases carried over from previous years.
In the total number of judgments issued in 2022, the following distribution is checked: 60% of indictment judgments, 31% of judgments to postpone (for various reasons), 8% of judgments sent to the prosecutor’s office due to the presence of a combination with criminal offenses and 1% guilty verdicts overturned after a judicial appeal.
According to the report, possession/use of pyrotechnics (32%) was the leading cause of fines, followed by failure to comply with the duty of correctness, moderation and respect (19%), supporting an organized group of unregistered fans (16%), committing an act or inciting violence , racism or xenophobia (9%), non-compliance by the promoter with safety regulations (7%), violation of the obligation to enforce the rules and conditions for the access and constancy of spectators (4%), throwing objects (4%) and other types of violations (9% ).
According to the latest update from the National Sports Information Center, there are currently 302 fans banned from access to sports facilities, 205 of them by decision of the ACIA, and the rest by a court decision.
Since it began operations in 2019, the FAA has issued more than 2,000 final and unappealable indictments, ruling on nearly 900 bans on access to sports venues, of which more than 700 have already taken effect.
