The Portuguese rugby team beat Spain 27:10 this Saturday at the Restelo Stadium in Lisbon to reach the final of the European Championship in the first year the competition is decided by knockout.
Wolves were trailing 10-7 at half-time after a try by Rodrigo Marta (30 minutes) saved by Samuel Márquez (31), but he changed the score in the second half thanks to two penalties from Marquis (53, 57) and a touch by Duarte Dinis (69) and Samuel Marquez (72), both transformed by the Portuguese training midfielder.
Portugal, who reached the semi-finals in first place in Group B, after defeating Belgium (54-17), Poland (65-3) and Romania (38-20), will face the winner from Georgia – – Romania, if played on Sunday, in Tbilisi.
The Portuguese team will thus attempt to win the main European title of the modality (excluding the Six Nations Tournament) for the second time in its history, having won the trophy in 2004.
The final will take place at the Nuevo Vivero Stadium in Badajoz on March 18 at 19:00.
