About 30 people came this Monday to the Ministry of Housing in Lisbon and demanded a meeting with the minister in order to put an end to the evictions in several areas, with Governor Marina Gonçalves already showing herself ready to accept them.

With megaphones and a few posters, a group of demonstrators promised to stay until the end of the meeting with Housing Minister Marina Gonçalves.
The minister’s adviser confirmed to Lusa that a limited group of protesters will be received by Marina Gonçalves as soon as the official representative concludes another rally.
The journalists who were present on the spot were not allowed into the “hall” of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, where other representatives of microdistricts, accompanied by Habita activists – the Association for the Right to Housing and the City, decided who would go to the rally.
