Three people died and four were seriously injured in two accidents in Tras os Montes.

A car-van collision on the Vila-Cha variant, Aliho, in Vila Real, this Sunday morning, killed two people aged 21 and 25, two seriously injured and one in critical condition. Also this Sunday morning in Valpazos, a 54-year-old man died and one was seriously injured in a car accident. The warning was given at 7:07 am this Sunday.

Aliho had 39 operatives and one INEM helicopter. According to CMthe alarm was given at 6:11 am this Sunday.

Victims with severe injuries, two girls aged 22 and 26, were taken to the hospital. The third victim in critical condition, a 25-year-old boy, was taken to Santo António hospital.

The dead were declared dead on the spot, the bodies were delivered to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

The witness told CM that all the fatal and serious victims were in the same vehicle and had come from the Mousos party to Sanfins do Douro. As they tried to overtake, they collided with a cargo van.

The road remains closed to traffic.

The GSN also went to the scene, which is now investigating the causes of the accident.
