On Monday, the Diário da República published a resolution that will allow the purchase of cars for the National Republican Guard and the Public Security Police over the next three years, with an investment of more than 28 million euros.
The Decree authorizes the General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Interior (SGMAI) to carry out the costs of the centralized acquisition of cars for PSP and PNR in the amount of 27.9 million euros (plus VAT) between 2023 and 2025.
With this permission, tenders will be announced for the purchase of passenger cars for the PSP and PNR for the period from 2023 to 2025 as part of the programming of infrastructure and equipment for law enforcement agencies and services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), according to the document.
